Oat Hill Mine Rd. Overview: 10 Mile out and back Mtb. route. 5-6 miles of ascending gaining up to 2500ft of elevation from the trail head. The Oat hill trail starts just right at the north edge of Calistoga within riding distance from the bike shop. An out and back ride, staying on the main trail, is recommended for first time riders of the trail. The main trail progressively gets more technical as you near the top and is a fast ride down.There are other small trails built up off of the main trail, contact the shop about which ones are rideable and legal.
Mt. St. Helena Overview: A 10mi ride, 5 miles up and 5 miles down, will get you to 4400ft above sea level. Starting at the summit of Hwy. 29 you will gain about 2100ft.(to the south summit) The first summit with most of the radio towers is the south summit, you can continue further to the other two summits. The views of the Napa Valley are the best from the South summit. Go on a Clear day and see the San Fransisco Bay From the top!
